[Spellyans] Introduction: Barbara Schenck

[Barbara Schenck]

I am interested in the Cornish language and, especially, the written form
because I have encountered spelling issues which could have impact on the
identity of people and places I've been researching in family and local
history.

I have a background in Spanish and Portuguese language studies, but my
experience with Cornish, written or spoken, is minimal.  I would like to
improve it and understand more of the way terms were used as identifiers, so
I can gain a clearer understanding of the communities I'm interested in.

I don't expect to have much to contribute to the discussion, but I'm eager
to learn more and, eventually, may have a question or two to ask if it seems
feasible.  Thank you in advance for your willingness to share your expertise
with those of us coming from different areas of study.
