You don't give any rationale for your choice. In the matter of
unstressed syllables, there is -en and -an here, and you've given no
reason to choose one over another. And you're proposing a change.
I can think of a reason for the change -- the vowel in the syllable
under stress:
tenewan, tenwennow.
