I should write <sqwier> and give a MC plural <sqwierryon> [skwɪˈɛr(ː)jən], and an LC <sqwerryon> [ˈskwɛr(ː)jən]. An assimilation of [ɪ] after [w] before a stressed vowel seems a likely development.

The singular is sqwier [ˈskwiːəɾ] in KS, but should the plural be sqwieryon/sqwyeryon or sqweryon?
