[Spellyans] tavas in early Middle Cornish

Tavas in the englyn is, I believe, the earliest attestation. It rhymes with collas/gollas.
I refuse to speculate about what may or may not have existed. Since I write <tavas> I don't care.
Quite probably pronunciations varied. But speculative etymologies do not trump textual evidence.
Nor should they.
