[Spellyans] the suffix -yeth or -ieth?

Hello again,
I've just got word from a Welsh speaker I'm in contact with that the ‹i› cognate suffix -iaeth is sometimes pronounced [j] and sometimes [i], bt it does not attract main stress which is placed on the syllable before the suffix. Here Breton and Welsh appear to differ. What to assume for Cornish? As I said the examples from the texts seem to point towards syllabic /i/ but I cannot say whether it is stressed or not.
