Yes, very sad.

Eddie always seemed to me to have a sensible stand on anything that might be contentious, and was always very encouraging of others. He will be sorely missed.

I never met Eddie, but we have 'spoken' here and on other websites and had some fun sparring with others in the bear-pit that was Cornwall 24.
