My recent book The Cornish Consonantal System discusses the whole question of assibilation
in Cornish and attempts to explain why it occurred and why it is blocked in certain circumstances, e.g. in the
group -dr-. Perhaps other members of the Signage Panel might be encouraged to read the relevant
chapters.
