Hi Craig, again.

Sorry to learn that your condition is so restricted, and likely to be permanent. I have considerable sympathy with you, as I have had some mobility issues myself. Although I can now manage stairs again, walking any distance is problematic, and balance not 100% - so it is limiting. I still hope to improve – but maybe that is wishful thinking.

However, I continue as an Open University tutor, and I have a couple of honorary university posts, all of which I can manage online, so that is a bonus. Your own contributions here indicate that you are still meaningfully connected with your interests and their world, and can continue to make meaningful contributions.

Best wishes in that - Ken

Spellyans members might like to peruse this, too, especially as the late Prof. Charles Thomas considered the Brythonic names featured some stones to be removed from standard Brythonic to be termed “proto-Cornish”.

I may now be totally housebound, dependent on a stair-lift to get upstairs and generally finished in physical terms - no more horses, no more cars - but my efforts haven’t lessened. Emphysema is not a lot of fun. I don’t think I’ll be writing any more books though, apart from the forthcoming (completed) one telling the full story of 1549, warts and all.

Craig
