KS has a certain number of double forms, where the singular spelling is related to the plural in different ways. Thus we have:

carpenter m., pl. carpenters
carpentor m., pl. carpentoryon

In the case Philip has pointed out, I think we would have a pair here:

medhek m., pl. medhygyon, 
medhak m., pl. medhogyon

Users can choose the singular spelling which reflects the plural they prefer. See Desky Kernowek §1A.2.1.
